Pete Clyne.
Director of Information Security and Infrastructure. Principal Engineer by trade. Licensed amateur radio operator as AD0MI and GMRS operator as WRYP278.
I got into IT back in 1995 because my Mom purchased the family its first computer, a custom built Pentium 90 with the newly released Windows 95. It was equipped with a 14400 bps modem and access to the internet from our rural home. Doing what I do...build and break things, I proceeded directly to breaking. After a couple cycles of this (and paying the repair bill), a kind gentleman named Guy at the ISP in town offered to teach me how to fix and repair it, and then offered me a job. 30 years later, I'm still at it. I enjoy amateur radio for similar reasons, the technical challenge, electronics knowledge, and ability to blend IT and radio together. Wireless technology is so intriguing.
I really enjoy designing, building and upgrading systems built on technology, wether that's complex networks and wifi systems, virtualization environments, cloud infrastructure and firewalls, or amateur radio projects involving HF radios or repeaters.
Building, breaking, and rebuilding. Always listening on a couple of bands at once.
